We currently have an immediate need for a Senior HR Advisor / Employee Engagement in Lower Hutt, New Zealand
This role is an integral part of a dynamic Global HR team working together to ensure efficient human resource management across a multinational organization.
You will be responsible to work closely with counterparts and stakeholders to provide HR expertise to a portfolio and take the lead when required.
In this role, you will report to the CHRO, be responsible for the APAC region and work with regional and global senior business leaders.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing the HR strategies and activities that will drive results, enable growth and build upon our organizational successes.
Provide operational and best practice advice on a range of people related business challenges and ensure a positive employee relations culture is maintained.
Develop strong and trusted partnerships with all levels of the organization and provide leaders and senior managers with objective coaching and advice.
Work with the Global HR Team to develop and implement companywide HR strategies for the business and internal client groups, while identifying nuances for local adoption.
Take an active role in the recruitment of top talent and drive career development and growth.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements for local management of employees, reducing legal risk and ensuring compliance, in close partnership with our legal team.
Implement and maintain policies and procedures that ensure the company remains fully compliant while staying abreast of changes and ensuring that these practices are implemented consistently.
Support an excellent employee experience for operational areas such as onboarding, benefits and talent management.
Participate in and drive the implementation of special HR projects including strategic initiatives to help align employees to strategic goals of the business.
Partner with the global HR team in leveraging data and HR metrics to help measure our success.
Assisting employees by answering questions, providing information and referring them to the appropriate contact as needed to provide exemplary customer service.
Support all elements of the performance management process including objectives setting, coordinating review processes, system training and advising employees and managers.
Support and coordinate employee engagement initiatives, including coordination of employee engagement survey, ensuring results are communicated and actions items are followed up.
Support the remuneration processes as required (including job evaluations, annual salary reviews, incentive plans).
Support and explain decisions made by CHRO and the Senior Management Team in all relevant forums and discussions.
Maintain an excellent knowledge of HR processes and procedures.
Add and maintain employee information while ensuring compliance with privacy legislation.
Participate in company-wide programs and initiatives (e.g., annual performance reviews, training and development, remuneration and change management).
Assist in areas such as remuneration, benefit renewal, performance management, learning and development, recruitment and general HR support for managers and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
An HR or business-related tertiary qualification is preferred but not required.
Prior recruiting experience is essential
HRINZ accreditation beneficial
At least 4 years’ experience in a generalist Human Resource role within a large multi-faceted organization
Relevant experience working as an HR Advisor supporting APAC region
Knowledge of HRIS systems
Excellent command of English language
Advanced skill in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook
Highly collaborative with a global mindset.
Comfortable working both independently and in a team setting.
Ability to work across regions, departments and functions to drive results.
Ability to handle complex situations with ease.
Experience working within a technology / software-enabled, fast-paced business.
Experience successfully working within fast paced, transformative environments.
Analytical and results focused, track record of achieving hiring and / or HR goals.
Ability to relate to, advise and coach employees at all levels in the organization.
Strong project management expertise and experience with the ability to multitask.
