The Role

We are entering an exciting phaseof growth and are looking for a Data Analyst (Power BI) to join our Christchurch team.This role will focus on helping to drive Seequent’s goal of making data-drivendecisions a core practice for Seequent, leveraging strategic use oftransactional, behavioural, and market data across all aspects of operations.

Youwill primarily work cross-functionally with commercial leadership, sales andoperations, and finance. Providing Power BI and data analytics expertise toinform emerging sales trends and track the performance of the business.

A day in the life..

In this role, you will have theopportunity to :

  • Effectively provide reports in Power BI that answer the key questions with the best visualizations and data interpretations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver consistent business logic and data definitions.
  • Review questions and implications for the business based on review of data, information, and research.
  • Enable a deeper understanding of how our customers are interacting at every point in their lifecycle with Seequent, including sales processes and product usage.
  • Contribute to the business by using data to investigate a myriad of issues.
  • Contribute to the needs of the users by presenting data insights and analysis in understandable ways.
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to help foster an understanding of what data means and how to interpret it.

    This rolecould be a good fit for you if you have :

  • Good experience with data visualization, insight interpretation, and dashboard design.
  • Solid experience working with Power BI workspaces and apps following best practices for collaborative use of data with datasets, dataflows, and reports.
  • In-depth knowledge of query languages and the manipulation and modelling of data.
  • A good working knowledge of metrics for sales, forecasting, product users and usage tracking, and marketing, how they are used and why, and the types of business problems people solve with data.
  • Proven experience with CRM and Data Analytics software.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with experience working in a complex and cross-functional organisation.
