As a Senior Advisor, you will be responsible for developing and shaping advice that will directly impact the 200,000 + people working within New Zealand's health workforce.
About this role :
In this role you will also use the levers we have to ensure we have the right workforce in the right place at the right time.
You will build relationships with the sector and our regulators- ensuring they continue to comply with the Health Practitioner Competence Assurance Act 2003 and are meeting their obligations.
You will lead on projects that drive and deliver on the Health Workforce strategic investments in education, training, workforce development and innovation.
You will represent the Ministry at cross-agency meetings and be able to influence staff within the Ministry and across other Agencies through forming networks and good working relationships.
You'll be able to demonstrate significant experience on advising on complex issues. You will also be a strategic thinker who is able to look at the bigger picture as well as being comfortable in the technical detail.
You will be adept at influencing and managing a range of stakeholders, and be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of the machinery of government.
