Financial Crime is a dynamic and complex world and this role provides a challenging opportunity to harness data and analytics to detect and prevent Financial Crime, including Fraud.
About the role : There is never a dull day in this dynamic and fast paced environment. The Financial Crime team has some of the most up to date and actionable data in the bank.
You will be part of a collaborative, innovative and supportive team who work closely together to detect and prevent fraud.
In this critical role, you will be challenged with utilising analytics in identifying, quantifying and managing financial crime risk.
You will be using data analytics to provide intelligence to manage both immediate risks as well as provide advice on the financial crime landscape and future risks.
As a Financial Crime analyst, you’ll be a numerically minded individual who is comfortable discussing your work, explaining your findings and recommending responses within a fast paced and constantly evolving environment.
Normal hours of work may include weekends and being on call which will be arranged on a rotational basis within the Analytics team.
What you’ll need to succeed : 2+ years’ experience working in an analytics role, ideally in a financial services environment Understanding of the key financial crime drivers and the dynamics of fraud Strong skills in SQL, R, SAS Demonstrated ability to analyse and interpret data Comfortable using visualisation tools like Power BI Be a team player Ability to operate effectively in a fast paced and demanding environment.
