Accountant Auckland Airport About Delaware North CompaniesDelaware North Companies Australia New Zealand provide worldclass hospitality and food service management end to end resort management and travel hospitality services across more than 30 unique locations About the Role We are currently looking for an experienced Site Accountant for a pivotal role based at Auckland Airport The position is part of our site leadership team for our Travel Hospitality Services THS division partnering directly with the General Manager of our Auckland operations Being a true financial specialist you will provide leadership and support to our team on all areas of the sites financial function You will have advanced analytical skills and an ability to communicate on the overall business performance and provide advice to assist outlet Managers in achieving their financial plan profit margins and business growth With an attractive salary package on offer this role will see you develop your financial acumen and challenge you as you oversee a diverse blend of new concepts in an expanded Auckland Airport Food Beverage offering Responsibilities Accurate and timely preparation of weekly and monthly financial performance Be an integral member in the development of the annual financial plan Manage and monitor capital expenditure in line with business requirements and budget Identify opportunities for expenditure reduction and provide ongoing advice in regards to process improvements Promote an environment of continuous learning and development through coaching and mentoring team members Develop build and maintain business relationships with clients suppliers and customers Ensure compliance with legislation and corporate policies Criteria Qualifications Have proven experience in team management delegation and goal setting Tertiary qualifications in Finance and or Accounting Be CPA or CA qualified or equivalent or working towards Previous experience in a multisite Hospitality Catering Retail environment will be advantageous Possess excellent written and verbal communications skills and the ability to guide and motivate high performing team Have had exposure to various aspects of finance e g payroll AP AR on site cash management data entry inventory management Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel and exposure to MYOB or similar Be comfortable in an unstructured environment Benefits Free meals and coffee Car Parking Working with Us We employ more than 5 000 team members across Australia New Zealand who are passionate and dedicated to creating special guest experience across all of our sites We are focused on continuos improvement and providing our people with structured careeer progression and development whilst fostering a true team environment If this sounds like the opportunity you have been waiting for and you feel you have the right skills experience and attitude to be successful with us APPLY NOW As we prefer to deal with our team members directly we will not be accepting calls or applications from recruitment agencies thank you
