About the role - Mō te tūnga
We have an awesome opportunity for a digital content ninja who's keen to play a part in changing the hearts and minds of New Zealanders to put tamariki first.
It's about New Zealanders understanding the work we do and where we're headed alongside community and iwi.
This is a permanent role based in the Communications and Engagement team where you'll work alongside digital strategists, communication advisors and designers to create user friendly content across external and internal channels.
About you - Mōu
Ideally you'll have at least five years experience with a background in journalism, copywriting or a relevant field.
You'll be skilled at writing and repurposing copy and mentoring others to write for digital channels with a good understanding of visual content creation such as video and graphics.
The ability to write for different mediums including web, social and video is a given for this role and ideally you will have experience in writing for the web in a government context, especially creating content across complex topics.
You'll have a good knowledge of web best practice, user experience and accessibility.
