Our multi-disciplinary team works across water, wastewater and stormwater, as well as surface waters and irrigation; partnering with clients spanning the local government, industrial, transportation, and commercial sectors.

The Opportunity

The Central Water and Industrial team (based in Wellington, New Plymouth, and Nelson) deliver multiple large-scale projects for municipal and industrial clients.

To continue to deliver these projects on time and on budget we are looking for a Project Manager to join our Wellington-based water team.

This role offers the opportunity to manage local multi-disciplinary projects ranging across water, wastewater, and stormwater, in a well-supported environment.

  • You’ll have responsibility for a variety of challenging projects planning, assembling and managing resources to deliver your projects on time and on budget;
  • whilst achieving operational excellence in project outcomes. You’ll have the opportunity to see projects through from concept to client handover.

    Some of our local project managers assist our clients by working alongside them in a client representative role.

    About you

    Your passion, design and problem-solving mindset will be matched with a desire to work on meaningful and significant projects across New Zealand in a multidisciplinary business.

    You’ll have a tertiary level degree in engineering or a related discipline, with a high level of experience in successfully leading projects, preferably in a local government or consultancy environment and with water-related projects.

    You will also have an enquiring mind, able to problem solve and think laterally. How you work is also important to us we will value your enthusiasm and motivation to continue to learn from your peers and more senior members of the team.

    We’re looking for someone who loves to learn and share knowledge someone who can bring a fresh perspective to ensure the development of the people around them and who constantly seeks better practice for the overall quality of our work and our client experience.
