About the role

As a Solutions Architect, you will be working in a future-focused digital team responsible for developing robust, forward-thinking products and services to our customers and significant value to Foodstuffs business.

Working closely between digital product, UX, delivery teams and enterprise architecture, you will lead the creation of solutions that enable positive customer digital and e-commerce outcomes and that eloquently balance people, processes and technology to achieve this.

Ultimately, your work will drive our business into the future, significantly enabling rapid and agile change across our digital customer-facing landscape.

You will map out the elements of the digital customer journey to the latest cloud-based SaaS technology and create perfect digital solutions which shine in terms of scalability, cost and simplicity.

About you

With the perfect mix between technical skills and ability to partner across the business - you’ll need a strong solution architecture background with customer-facing digital experience to be able to hit the ground running.

Interacting with ease across the business, you’ll bring those around you on the journey, telling stories in a language that is understood, all the while dealing with significant levels of underlying complexity.

Some of the keys to your success will also include :

  • Strong technological leadership, skills and experience of B2C customer-facing digital technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic thinking, examining and evaluating issues and creating plans with a long-term perspective.
  • You will be experienced as a tech lead, software architect, application architect or other development leadership role with at least 3 years of architecture and design experience.
  • You will have strong modelling and diagramming skills.
  • You will have experience in exposing data and operations through APIs and RESTful services.
  • You need to have strong skills and experience in solution designs using modern technologies (e.g. Data Streaming, Kafka, Kinesis or Apache Spark) and with data at scale.
  • You are familiar with the technology used in our platform standards (Java, .Net Core, Node.JS, React).
  • Certification in a recognised architecture framework TOGAF, ITAC, IBM AD 2.0, CapGemini IAF or similar.
  • Bonus points

  • Ability to apply solutions in the context of frameworks like Sitecore, Salesforce or SAP.
  • A generalised understanding of related areas including customer marketing, loyalty, campaign management and customer analytics, real-time processing.
  • Playing a vital part in translating forward-thinking business and project requirements into reality, your work will drive our business into the future significantly enabling rapid and agile change across our digital customer-facing landscape.
