The Opportunity :
AIA is seeking an experienced delivery professional passionate about execution excellence to support AIA’s delivery agenda by :
continuously developing and uplifting AIA NZ’s delivery and business analysis disciplines;
support AIA NZ with an enterprise view of the portfolio delivery roadmap, risk, issues, dependencies, and constraints including supporting sequencing to effectively manage change.
support AIA NZ with a forward-looking enterprise demand / supply view of delivery resourcing.

About the Role :
Develop and lead a high-performance culture within the team, in line with AIA’s values and expected behaviours and an agile mindset, with a focus on customer centricity, continued learning and innovation.
Be an active leader and Project Delivery advocate to help people understand how each change initiative and programme helps achieve our AIA strategic plan and our broader purpose to make a difference in people’s lives.
Lead, coach, facilitate the development of AIA’s delivery capability, using agile ways of working and mind-set, to ensure a consistent and sustainable level of capability is achieved within the delivery and business teams.
This includes sponsors, business owners, delivery leads, product owners, and analysts.
Support the Executive and Senior Leaders with an enterprise view of the portfolio delivery roadmap, risk, issues, and constraints including agreeing sequencing to effectively manage change and risk impacts
Working closely with peers, capability leads, Business Owners, and Technology ensure early identification and addressing of delivery issues, risks, and dependencies across portfolio.
This includes influencing and guiding key stakeholders’ potential issues arising from conflicts or dependencies across schedules.
As business priorities change support the facilitation of a timely and efficient streamlined pivot to the portfolio, providing scheduling support to minimize impact on cost, quality, and delivery.
Document and maintain AIA NZ’s delivery framework, standards, and practices. This includes ensuring this is accessible and embedded across AIA NZ’s delivery community, including Sponsors and Business Owners.
Continually review processes and practices to ensure streamlined and meets needs of the AIA business. This includes collaborating with People and Culture (Enterprise Agile Team), Technology, Finance, Strategy, and the wider delivery community to identify and implement initiatives to uplift delivery capability, including customer centric and value based outcomes, governance and oversight, and time to market.
Support the effective oversight of resourcing levels, ensuring appropriate deployment amongst the project and delivery teams, and optimum allocation and utilisation of technology and people resources.
Develop and maintain a central portfolio delivery risk and issue register including ensuring ownership and management actions clear.
About you :
10+ years of experience in programme delivery including managing complex and high risk / value programmes.
10+ years’ experience in Information Technology.
Demonstrated ability to engage, influence and effectively communicate with stakeholders from across the organisation.
Demonstrated capacity to work in highly pressured & volatile environments at speed and with agility, with experience leading through uncertainty and ability to know when to pivot.
Demonstrated commercial acumen with an enterprise view.
Highly proficient in multiple delivery methodologies, tools, and templates, including 5+ years’ experience in Agile delivery and Agile transformation.
Experience working in large complex organisations, ideally within the financial services industry.
Strong strategic background, with an ability to grasp the big picture.
Demonstrated leadership experience with effective coaching skills.
Ability to apply analytical skill and conceptual thinking to operations and systems planning across a range of technologies.
Demonstrated ability to manage large teams, including vendors and contractors.
Highly organised, plans and priorities well and manages time to focus self and others on the most important activities.
Scaled Agile SAFE SPC certification or equivalent preferred.
PMBOK or Prince2 Certification preferred.
Organisational Change Management experience preferred.
