On-going staff education and support
The Community Acute Service (CAS) provides a comprehensive assessment and treatment options to Service Users and their whanau that require acute mental health care in the community.
As a key member of this professional, dedicated team, you’ll be assessing and managing the needs of Service Users that are referred to Cornwall house with an acute mental health presentation and increased risk.
Dedicated to empowering and enabling clients, you will also participate in on-going service initiatives. Experience in the adult mental health sector is required as well as your ability to demonstrate excellent time management and organisation skills.
Experience in crisis / acute work within a community mental health team and being a Duly Authorised Officer would be distinct advantages.
Ideally you will also have a working knowledge of Government agencies and NGO sector services relevant to community mental health.
This role is not suitable for New Graduate applicants. You must be a Registered Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist with a current Annual Practicing Certificate as well as a full and clean NZ driver's license.
This a permanent role, part time role - 0.6 fte . You will be part of the CAS Roster (24 / 7 cover, 365 days a year), a fully rotating roster, Monday to Sunday, based at Greenlane Clinical Centre.
