Add your energy and enthusiasm; problem solving skills and sense ofhumour to our team at Te Awakura. We provide24-hour care to tāngata whaiora (consumers) who are experiencingan acute mental health event.

We aim to identify and develop their strengths,whilst working closely with their whānau (family) to achieve community integration.

This is an opportunity for you to be involved with our consumers in theiractivities and daily routines, both in a ward environment, and thecommunity.

This role will find you working under the direction and delegation of aRegistered or Enrolled Nurse as part of a wider multidisciplinary team.

Youwill be involved in a range of activities, including provision of personalcare, one to one support, undertaking community escorts and supporting tāngatawhaiora activities.

This rolerequires the following :

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and team work
  • A full New Zealand drivers licence
  • Knowledge of and a commitment to Te Tiriti oWaitangi
  • A certificate in Health and Wellbeing or awillingness to work towards one
