About the role
WorkSafe New Zealand are looking for a Solutions Architect to join our Digital and Information Services Team.
The Solutions Architect will be involved in all technology changes and will play an important role in the delivery of technology outcomes.
The solutions architect role serves to define the IT Architecture standards and provide architecture governance across WorkSafe, guiding the organisation in making IT investment decisions in line with the business's IT strategy and target operating model.
As Solution Architect you will :
Define WorkSafe architecture requirements that support the strategic objectives of D&IS and its customers
Develop and maintain documentation to ensure requirements are understood by developers, users, and suppliers
Research and maintain an awareness of best practices in the area of systems architecture
Ensure the architecture adopted on IT projects is up-to-date, consistent with the WorkSafe architecture requirements
Ensure WorkSafe architecture requirements are communicated to and understood and adopted by others - IS, Contractors and Suppliers whose products or services need to comply with the WorkSafe architecture requirements
Implement and ensure that systems, processes, and methodologies are followed to ensure effective monitoring, control, and support of D&IS governance functions
Ideally, you will have :
Significant experience as a technical lead or background in solutions architecture
Experience working alongside project delivery teams providing solutions designs
Expert Knowledge of the Microsoft Technology Stack (including Azure, Dynamics, O365 etc)
Knowledge of all components of an enterprise technical architecture (e.g. applications, operating systems, security measures, networking, integration, database management, web platforms)
The ability to take a user request and deliver a business solution rather than simply fulfilling technology requests
