Where you'll be working : Waikato Hospital - Colorectal Cancer Service The details : Permanent - 40 hours per week An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced nurse to provide support and expertise to our patients with a diagnosis of Colorectal Cancer.
About the role : This role requires the successful applicant to have an understanding of both the surgical and oncological pathway of these patients as they transition through our health care system.
You will often be the single point of contact, and are required to assist patients, and their whanau, as they navigate through the health system.
In this role you will also support and develop quality initiatives that improve care and outcomes. You will be required to demonstrate leadership, and provide education and support to the wider health team.
You will also be required to support the implementation of local and national initiatives. The successful candidate will be required to develop strong relationships within Waikato DHB and in our community.
