  • An exciting opportunity has come along for a Positive and professional sales professional with the ability to develop strong customer relationships with the aim to obtain and build Venue-

    based events. You will be well presented and enthusiastic in your approach with excellent time management and the ability to prioritise.

    This role will be looking after the business development of three favourite Takapuna Venues. Regatta Bar and Eatery, Franc's Bar and Cafe and Elephant Wrestler.

    The primary focus will be on Regatta while maintaining sales in the other two venues. Each of these venues is vastly different each offering a different experience.

    The primary role of the Event & Experience Manager is to assist these 3 three venues in maximising customer volume and driving revenue.

    You have full support from our Sales and Events Manager; you can be creative and develop your strengths and passions within the role.

    You need dedication, efficiency, confidence and determination to succeed in your position.

    You will

  • Develop and implement sales plans including direct sales, telesales, direct email, face to face sales, websites and promotions
  • Develop initiatives to generate revenue into the venue in known downtime periods and plan ahead to maximise sales during these periods
  • Maintain booking system data and regularly update Sales CRM database including details of new business development and client information
  • Ensure all responsibilities and deadlines are met
  • Set CRM tasks and auto prompts to develop key accounts and utilise your toolbox for targeted weekly invitations
  • Monitor and compare the outlet with the competition about conference and function facilities and pricing - know your competition
  • Maintain a high profile at all appropriate local networking events, ensuring all opportunities are maximised
  • Network in your venues; host when busy, float and assist tables, clear and clean to start a conversation
  • Organise regular catch-ups with complementary industries; travel, tourism, event management, conference and incentives
  • Implement and conduct venue familiarisation for clients with the aim of maximising sales and showcasing our venues to the fullest
