About the role This exciting role is accountable for the effective and efficient management of liquidity and funding for the balance sheet through professional day-to-day dealing with domestic and offshore financial markets.
Reporting to the Head of Liquidity & Business Management, you will be responsible for ensuring that the liquidity and funding is effectively managed within risk appetite, whilst focusing on value maximisation for the bank.
The role will manage and model large amounts of data to generate succinct and meaningful analytics to support key decision-making.
A focus on the continuous improvement of balance sheet related tools and processes as well as a strategic lens to maintain resilience and ensuring funding growth will require a self-motivated and results-driven individual who keeps abreast of the ever-changing regulatory and economic landscape.
What we are looking forWe are looking for a highly numeric, excel expert combined with VBA, SQL and data mining skills. You will have financial markets exposure with at least 3 years relevant experience in treasury, financial markets or a banking regulatory environment.
Your stakeholders will include CFO, GM Treasury and RBNZ so an exceptional ability to network and build relationships as well as comfort influencing at all levels within and outside Bank whilst maintaining objectivity and independence.
This is an extremely fast-paced environment and so an ability to multi-task whilst delivering on competing stakeholder requirements requires a level head.
