The Business Systems team at Trimble has created some modern and well-loved web applications that are critical to our global business.
This team describes themselves as a collaborative and innovative Agile team and this role will enable further growth in terms of adding high-value features and supporting uptake by a wider audience.
Underneath these applications reside a single cloud Amazon Relational Database Service with business logic encoded in stored procedures and related tables.
This dataset is then related to a single global instance of Oracle Enterprise Business Suite with deeper business logic encoded in PL / SQL stored procedures and related tables.
This role will be involved with both these technologies.
What you'll do?
Work collaboratively with stakeholders to agree the best way for their product to be configured to meet business objectives.
Apply skills and knowledge of database structure to incorporate product configurations at a data level and then use Oracle Applications UI to configure Oracle eBusiness Suite.
Work with stakeholders to test resulting workflows, troubleshoot issues and work with other team members to address any gaps in functionality.
There are a number of technologies at play in the end to end workflow. Building competency in each will add significant value and provide growth.
Once stakeholders have approved, check production setups are completed fully and troubleshoot issues as they arise in production and own any issues that may need to be resolved.
What you'll bring?
Apply structured thinking to analyse current state examples and leverage this knowledge in approaching new product onboarding.
Become proficient at working across multiple linked systems with different interfaces to configure an overall workflow.
Knowledge of SQL and relational databases with an ability to read and write queries that are used to configure.
Understanding of operational issues in a global 24 / 7 enterprise.
Contributor to team goals and aligned with practicing agile methodology.
Comfortable working within an evolving development process.
