About the Role

As a Consultant in our Network Projects & Consulting practice, you will work across a range of clients, providing consulting & project services to help them meet their business objectives, through the design and implementation of fit for purpose’ network / security solutions.

Our Consultants have the skills to interface and engage with senior level clients, develop and articulate solutions and create detailed designs.

We are looking for people not only experts in Networking solutions but also those with a strong Network Security background.

What you’ll do

As a member or the Consultancy team you will develop and present solutions and detailed designs of LAN, WAN (SD WAN), Wi Fi, Datacentre and Network Security architectures.

You will take ownership of projects, completing design and implementation, as well assist the broader Network Services team leveraging your extensive knowledge.

You’ll be comfortable working collaboratively with both technical and non-technical people and have the right attitude towards professional development.

You will lead by example and guide your less experienced peers in delivering first class network solutions for Datacom’s customers, across a broad spectrum of networking vendors and disciplines, utilising your excellent communication skills, knowledge and experience to be a Trusted Advisor to your peers, our internal account teams and our customers.

What you’ll bring

Because of the diversity of the role, we are looking for a combination of skills, certifications and significant experience in the following :

  • Minimum 3 years Network Design and Project Implementation Experience
  • Statement of Work Preparation
  • Switching and Routing : Cisco, Fortinet (Desirable)
  • Load Balancing : F5, Citrix Netscaler (Desirable)
  • Firewall / Network Security : Fortinet, Checkpoint, Palo Alto (Desirable)
  • Software Defined Networking : Fortinet, Cisco (Desirable)
  • Wireless : Preferably Fortinet, Cisco, Aerohive, Aruba (Desirable)
  • Cloud Solutions : Azure, AWS (Desirable)
  • Strong Troubleshooting Skills
  • Skills in Data Centre and Enterprise Deployments
  • Familiarity with ITIL
  • Ability to Work Under Pressure
  • Can Do Attitude
  • Willingness to support your colleagues, mentor team members and assist with third level troubleshooting.
  • Due to the nature of the clients this role will require that you have the ability to pass New Zealand security clearance.

    You must hold either PR / Citizenship and have been in New Zealand or its 5eyes counterparts at least 2 years.
