An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Guest Services Team; we are looking for a customer service focused individual to take on the Part Time dual role of Guest Services Agent / Porter.
The ideal candidate for this role will :
Have a full clean New Zealand Driver’s license with the ability to drive manual and automatic vehicles this is essential.
A good knowledge of the Wellington region is advantageous as you will be providing directions and recommendations to guests on services and attractions in the Wellington region
Confidence with up selling and have cash handing skills
Have excellent communication skills
The ability to multi-task, take the initiative and adapt to a busy environment
Have the ability to defuse potential conflict situations and deal with guest problems in a professional manner
Have the desire to always put the customers’ needs above all else
A passion for the hospitality industry and a desire to see our hotel succeed in all areas of operations
Previous concierge or reception experience in a 4-5 star hotel is advantageous, however full training will be provided.
The position will include, but is not limited to :
Checking guests in and out
Welcome and farewell of guests
Be the first point of contact for guest enquiries
Deliver Luggage and messages to guest rooms
Valet car park vehicles and organise transportation
A Full Clean New Zealand Driver’s License with the ability to drive manual and automatic vehicles is required
This is a rostered position so the successful candidate will need to be available to work any given day of the week, Monday to Sunday, for AM or PM shifts predominantly between the hours of 7am and midnight.
Shifts and rostered days off will vary due to operational requirements. The part time position will provide approximately 16-32 hours per week.
