To excel in in this area you need to not only understand financial concepts, but also be a great communicator, an outside the box thinker and able to work both collaboratively and autonomously and have some experience in the agricultural sector.

About the role

We are looking for CA qualified / nearly qualified Accountants with 3 or more year’s solid accounting experience with a highly proactive approach and a solution focused can-do attitude.

Your experience in a similar role will be a given as will attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong computer skills, organisation and willingness to go the extra mile.

As an Intermediate / Senior Accountant, your duties will include, but not restricted to :

  • Providing general accounting, taxation and business advice to clients
  • Buddying junior staff members & reviewing others work
  • Providing solutions for clients on business strategies and structures
  • Completion of group and / or complex Financial Statements and Tax Returns for a diverse client base
  • The successful candidate needs to have :

  • Have a desire to become an integral part of BDO with ambition to make your mark on the firm as a team player working constructively alongside others
  • Fantastic people skills, a positive manner and able to show initiative
  • 3-4 plus years of solid BAS experience in a CA environment
  • Good understanding of business structures and taxation
  • Strong analytical and technical accounting skills, be commercially intuitive and hard-working
  • A working knowledge of Xero, Figured and other accounting packages
  • A sound knowledge of Excel and Word
