We are looking for a Rockstar Duty Manager to join the Honey Badger family!

The Honey Badger is one curious little critter. Soft, furry and looks adorable - but it is one bad-ass badger. It will take on anything, is absolutely fearless, and just relentless.

The Honey Badger Saloon is the same. We’re in a part of town where bars of this nature don’t tend to trend, but we are breaking that mold.

We’re going to do our own thing, back ourselves and have a great time doing so. Oh and we love tequila!

As a Duty Manager your role is to run the establishment on a shift by shift basis, reporting directly into your Venue Manager.

Your primary role is to be a fantastic host to our customers and the local community.

What we’ll love about you :

  • You will be a motivating and hands on people person - a front face of the venue and the team will be keen to follow you and come along for the journey
  • You will be able to shift gears as required there will be the need to change and flex in this role
  • You’ll be curious, interested and happy to learn from any mistakes
  • You understand the difference between customer service and creating a fantastic customer experience creating the feeling of manaakitanga in the venue, with your customers and with your team
  • You will be energetic and enthusiastic with great communication skills
  • Have a passion for upskilling others and celebrate their successes
  • You are all about integrity, you do the right thing even when no one is watching
  • Ideally a minimum of 1 years experience in a hospitality leadership role in an upbeat and fast paced environment
  • And of course, from the compliance angle you will need your LCQ / GM Certificate
