THE DAY TO DAY

Alongside a keen understanding of skiing / snowboarding, this position involves advising and completing all repairs and tuning of skis, snowboards and boots (including maintaining a large rental fleet).

With two well equipped workshops (including one Montana SnowChallenge Robot at Whakapapa), and variable snow conditions, experience is a must.

  • Carry out repairs on Rental and customer equipment in a timely manner (within 24 hours) to meet customer demands.
  • Safely operate workshop machinery in a specific manner determined by the equipment being tuned / serviced, customer requirements and manufactures recommendations.
  • Identify and remove, for service / repair, any defective equipment from the rental fleet.
  • Advise, select and fit equipment in the appropriate manner most suitable for the customer.
  • Ensure all stock is kept in a well maintained condition, liaising with other senior staff and Workshop Supervisor to ensure this is completed in a timely manner.

    This is a skilled position, so we are looking for you to bring your "A" game as well as fun into everything you do. We're looking for our ideal applicants to have these key attributes and experiences :

  • Must have a current Salomon International Accreditation Certificate (Solomon Technician Certificate) or equivalent OR National Certificate in Snowsport Equipment Level 4 AND minimum of two years' experience in a ski / snowboard repair workshop or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete repairs on Rental stock including and maintaining the inventory, barcoding and using the Siriusware Rental Inventory System
  • Awesome customer service skills
  • Ability to share technical information with both technical and non-technical people in a manner that is quickly understood.
