The role

Reporting to the Finance Lead we’re looking for a Management Accountant who’s looking for a fairly autonomous role within a fun operations team (we have cake, and sometimes puppies, our emails normally include memes and gifs, Seek doesn’t let us put these in our ads though).

You’ll be preparing monthly management reporting, forecasting, commentary of financial reports, as well as regular analysis and cash management.

This role is ideal for someone who is keen to develop their career and build on their analytical skills.

It’s an exciting and busy time for our small finance team as we’ve just launched Workday, a new cloud based ERP system. This will help to centralize and automate data and some processes giving you time to improve other processes and run a slick accounting function.

The key responsibilities are what you’d expect to see from a role like this including :

  • Preparation of management reports and reconciliations
  • Cashflow forecasting
  • Banking reconciliation
  • Managing corporate credit cards
  • Support with Accounts Payable functions
  • Management of payroll journals
  • Financial reporting
  • End of month balance sheets
  • Assets and report writing
  • Tax reporting including GST & FBT returns

    About you

  • At least 3 years experience in a similar role with NZ tax knowledge
  • Relevant qualification (CA would be a bonus)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to partner with stakeholders across the business
  • A deadline focused approach
  • Self-starting attitude and the ability to work in a busy environment
  • Providing insightful analysis and value add on results and performance
  • IFRS experience would be a bonus (we can teach you this if needed)
