What can our construction projects build for you?

The Project

The Transmission Gully Project is being delivered by a joint Venture made up by CPB and partner HEB. The project involves the construction of a new 4 lane motorway through a challenging terrain that when complete would have resulted in moving more than 10 million m3 of earthworks and construction of 22 major structures.

The projects iconic structure being a launched 120m bridge some 70m above the river floor.

The Project works also include the largest ever quantity of granular pavement material to be imported and placed on a new road project in NZ.

Other works include multiple areas of soil stabilisation, installation of concrete drains, post & wire barriers, W beams, precast concrete barriers and ITS.

Your Opportunity

We are seeking to appoint a Traffic Supervisor to join the team. You will report to the Traffic Manager and be the lead representative for all traffic and road safety related issues.

Core responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Ensure traffic management measures are planned, implemented and maintained in accordance with best practice and achieve a high level of safety.
  • Coordinate all aspects of the project’s traffic management activities to ensure the traffic management KRA objectives are achieved and maintained.
  • Effectively communicate with both internal and external stakeholders including design and construction teams, New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA), Local Councils, Police, emergencies service agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Support the design and construction teams by providing advice on all traffic and road safety related issues.
  • Some rostered nightshifts may be required
  • Ideally you will have a tertiary Engineering qualification or related course of study with 10 years’ relevant experience in the construction industry.
