About this role

We have an excitingopportunity for a full / part time, permanent District Nurse to joinour Manukau Community Health Team

The Manukau Community Health Care teamservices the Manukau Locality as a part of Counties Manukau District Health Boardand will be based in Papakura.

This interdisciplinary team provides assessmentand treatment for clients in their own homes.

The vital role of a District Nurse is to provide community based services thatsupport patients to remain in their own homes.

District tasks may include woundcare, continence management, IV management, rheumatic fever prophylaxis andpalliative care.

Another part of the role will include supporting our newre-ablement programme.

You will be required to work primarily out of the Manukau Community HealthCare base and occasionally, required to work across the other Home Health Carebases.

The ideal candidate for this role will be an adaptable registered nurse withproven wound management skills, and able to work independently using evidencebased practice.

You will be given a comprehensive orientation, and opportunities for on-goingin-service education.

The Manukau Community Health Team provides services 7 days a week.

Essential Requirements :

New Zealand Registered Nurse with Current Annual PracticingCertificate

2 years experience Full & Clean NZ Driver's Licence Community experience (preferred)
