Manager, Trade & Promotion Analytics :

  • Provides analytical support to the North America Leadership Team, Field Sales, Sr, Mgr. Trade Marketing (SMTM) & others as needed
  • Leads, directs, manages & owns all aspects of Trade Spend budget management, including the Trade Management System (TMS) and all procedures, with ultimate budgetary responsibility living with SMTM
  • Leverages strong analytics to give promotional direction to Field Sales
  • Creates ROI tools and institutes Pre & Post Promotional ROI discipline, that drive efficient spend
  • Works cross functionally with Field Sales and Finance to plan, report, analyse, coordinate, update, create Deals, process documents, & other duties within the system
  • Acts as the Sales Trade Spend controller helping to deliver Net Sales by ensuring Trade LEs are met, aligned opportunities funded, and all non-committed dollars moved to a reserve for repurposing to new opportunities
  • Builds strong internal and external relationships and processes to provide timely assessment and decision analysis for sales opportunities
  • High level specific responsibilities include the annual Trade planning process, management of Trade Deals, monthly closing of Trade, bi-weekly cross functional Trade Spend status meetings, processing of Trade deductions, processing of A&S deductions / invoices, production of weekly / monthly sales reports, management of ERP pricing, and other projects as required.

    Knowledge and educational level

  • BS / BA. MBA preferred
  • Advanced computer skills; PowerPoint, Word, Excel, ERP (Oracle, SAP, etc).
  • Knowledge of Categories and Channels in which Sales operates.
  • Understanding of National Sales organization and Geographic and Account responsibility for all sales professionals.
  • Required level of experiences

  • 5+ years Trade Marketing, Sales Planning or Marketing experience
  • Ability to lead direct and indirect reports through annual processes.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities (multitask).
  • Experience with a Trade Management System helpful, but not required
  • Experience in ERP helpful, but not required.
