MidCentral District Health Board has a vacancy for an occupational therapy assistant to join the Occupational Therapy Department in Palmerston North.
This person will be required to work under the direction of a registered Occupational Therapist providing clinical support and assistance to the Occupational Therapy team when required.
The tasks of this position are many and varied and include undertaking occupational therapy interventions with clients under direction of the Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist primarily in the OPAL (Older Persons Assessment & Liaison) ward.
This is a full time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Palmerston North is a great place to live with a culturally diverse population, plenty of outdoor activities, a great variety of eateries and is a central hub for the Lower North Island being approximately 2 hours away from other main centres such as Wellington, Taupo, Napier and Taranaki.
