General Manager Part time K piti Impact Trust delivers a number of initiatives from it s community hub in Paraparaumu These include parenting courses and youth mentoring programmes Our recent growth means we are looking for an experienced leader with a high level of business and financial acumen who has a deep knowledge of community development and funding strategies in the charitable sector The GM is a new role and is responsible for the strategic operational and financial leadership of the Trust s staff volunteers and programmes as we continue to develop initiatives which support the K piti community You will also have overall responsibility for managing K piti Impact Hub it s tenants and reporting to the Board on the implementation of strategic and business plans To be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate you not only have the relevant qualifications and industry experience but the focus and drive to take ownership of this role to lead the organisation through the next stages of service delivery growth Reporting to the Board of Trustees To be successful in this role you will need The ability to translate vision into strategy and strategy into action plans for yourself and your team Support the vision and values of the organisation A high level of selfmotivation and problem solving skills with a track record of meeting stakeholder expectations The ability to balance social objectives and business acumen is essential Successful general management experience with responsibility and accountability for staff reporting on outcomes and performance Clear demonstration of leadership behaviours that inspire and empower others A resourceful approach that encourages fresh innovative thinking Effective networking and excellent communication skills Respect for and experience working with M ori tikanga and obligations under the Treaty of Waitangi A knowledge of the community sector and the necessary funding requirements This new role is parttime but the hours are likely to increase as new initiatives are developed We would love to hear from you if you are passionate about helping young people and their families thrive and want to achieve work life balance by working for a local community organisation
