Due to continued growth, our client based in Rosedale, Auckland is looking for an experienced Site Foreman within a residential construction background and a minimum of 3-5 years of NZ experience.
You would be reporting directly to the Construction Manager and the Managing Director.The company have recently secured a number of new projects that have secured them business through 2021, and therefore, require the immediate start of a well-rounded Site Foreman.
Responsibilities : Proven background as a site foreman within a residential group builderExperience with new build projects (from consent to the foundation and then handover)The ability to manage multiple subcontractors on-site concurrently (10-15)Making sure health & safety standards are kept to the highest standardLiaise with engineers, architects, subcontractors, and quantity surveyors on all issues related to the site.
Compile progress reports for the Director / Project Manager weekly.Delegate tasks to other team members on the project.General administration associated with on-site requirements including timesheets, purchase orders and inward goods.
Make sure the project is on time and on budget, overseeing contractual variations and changes.Deal with all queries.The ability to drive and achieve deadlinesMeasure and order materialsStrong communication and people management skillsGood Problem-solving skillsA positive attitude and great communicationPerform other related duties for the Sites as and when required.
Experience Required : You need to have at least 3-5 years of NZ residential site experience.Minimum of 10 years in Construction (would be an advantage).
Experience in subcontractor management.Able to build rapport with staff and site contractors.A flexible and co-operative attitude with a willingness to learn.
