Legal Support Assistant - Entry Level,

Fixed term, 0.4 FTE, 10 months Parental Leave Cover

We are looking for a super organised, practical and enthusiastic person to join our team in our Christchurch office on a Tuesday and Thursday each week.

We are a friendly and collegial team, of around 30 legal and support staff, delivering professional services in a busy environment

You will be joining an experienced and supportive team who have a genuine interest in sharing knowledge and supporting one-another in an enjoyable, busy and sometimes challenging environment.

Your duties will include setting up client files, accurately processing disclosure, covering reception, answering phones, assisting our legal secretaries and supporting the office, copying, collating and filing legal documents.

As a key team member at the PDS you will have access to a very successful three-month induction programme for PDS administration staff.

You will also be able to attend monthly training sessions.

  • Data entry experience
  • A valid NZ work Visa
  • Whilst you may have already gained some experience in a professional environment that is customer driven, and been involved in general office administration tasks, this is a chance for you to get in at the 'ground floor' and establish a great career path for yourself, in the interesting area of criminal law.

    Salary Range per annum : The remuneration band for this role is $48,184 to $50,991 - while the appointing salary will be based on skills and experience, we are willing to pay higher in the band to attract strong candidates into this role.
