The new manager will be working for the Whanganui Resource Recovery Centre Trust - a not for profit partnership between Tupoho, Whanganui District Council and Sustainable Whanganui.
The Trust is looking for someone who can drive the development of the centre as well as manage the day to day needs. You will be responsible for managing and growing the centre as well as managing staff and resources to enable the centre to function efficiently.
You will have a positive 'can do' attitude with an eye for creating partnerships with community groups and organisations to further waste minimisation and resource management principles.
You will enjoy flexing your negotiating and influencing skills, and you will also have a solid background and knowledge of the waste management and minimisation industry.
Experience in staff management is essential. This is a management role and as such, you will be a strategic thinker with the ability to work operationally when necessary.
Your excellent people skills will ensure that gaining co-operation from people will be second nature. If this sounds like you, we want to hear from you.
