Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
This is an opportunity to join a high-profile programme where you can use your financial and analytical skills to help work towards solutions to real issues within the food and fibres sector.
We are looking for someone to take charge of our budget and work closely with our financial team but they will also have the ability to look holistically over the programme.
You will have the opportunity to provide input into the programme and provide insight into any trends, risks or opportunities.
You will need strong relationship skills in order to order to be kept informed of the status of the different workstreams within the programme.
The numbers might not always be showing us the full picture and we need your help to know why. This is not just a numbers role and you will be asked to help troubleshoot across the programme.

This is an opportunity to join an exciting and innovative programme. The Primary Sector Workforce Programme focuses on attracting a larger, more diverse talent pool to the primary sector by equipping New Zealanders with the basic skills and knowledge needed to enter primary sector jobs, assisting employers to attract and retain a skilled and productive workforce.
The Programme centres on investing in the primary industries workforce and supporting implementation of medium- to longer-term, pan-sector workforce development initiatives, to underpin the sector's transformation and ability to meet future needs.

We are looking for an energetic individual who is open to trying new things and is proactive especially around using data to help solve problems.
Ideally you will have a financial background or strong analytical skills in order to understand our budget and identify opportunities and potential risks.
This will mean you will need strong relationship skills in order to understand all moving parts within the programme.
