About the role

Looking after the Woolworths, Supervalue / First Choice accounts, the role be responsible for the implementation of the key strategies that set out to deliver sustainable, profitable growth for McCain across the all Banners via Head Office, In store and On Line accounts.

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • In conjunction with the National Sales Manager, implement an overall customer strategic plan with the category and marketing teams that delivers our annual operating commitment on Volume, Net Sales and Gross Profit.
  • Manage trade investment at or below AOC targets that optimise return on investment within agreed parameters across fixed (Trade Terms) and discretionary (Co-op and Customer Discounts) investment
  • Manage and optimise our portfolio to maximise profit and sales growth across all categories through both Woolworths NZ and in field working alongside National Sales Manager
  • Execute promotional program guidelines to agreed McCain standards and investment parameters that optimise our return on investment
  • Align internally on promotions, pricing and activation for Woolworths NZ to ensure that there is consideration for the impact to other customers and total retail P&L.
  • About you

    To be successful in this role, you will have :

  • Demonstrated FMCG account / category management experience with a track record of delivering outstanding results
  • Outstanding communication skills, highlighted by the ability to tailor your message (and approach) to a variety of stakeholders
  • Proven negotiation skills (particularly at Buyer level) where your strong influencing skills have been utilised
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills combined with the ability to interpret and translate data to tell a story behind the numbers
  • Sound forecasting capability, coupled with some project management experience
  • Degree qualifications in business, marketing or a related discipline would be desirable but not essential
