About The Role :

We have an exciting permanent day shift position available in our Mechanical Engineering Division, based at the ISO workshop based at Gisborne.

This will suit an enthusiastic team player, you will need a positive and mature attitude with the ability to work unsupervised.

You will require a sound engineering skill base and possess competency in all welding engineering tasks.

The Welder Engineer will also be responsible for inspection, servicing, maintenance and compliance of stevedoring equipment.

  • Qualifications and experience required :

  • A trade certified Fitter Welder, with a proven engineering / welding background
  • Proven record of working in the heavy engineering industry
  • Fit and strong
  • Prepared to work alternate days if required
  • Prepared to respond to after hours work if needed
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Practical "can-do" attitude and ability to deliver solutions
  • Good team player and friendly aptitude
