KPMG Governance, Risk & Compliance Services (GRCS) is a specialist Consulting Team dedicated to driving commercial outcomes through viewing risk management as a lever for enhancing innovation, reputation and sustainable growth.

Our team works with clients at all levels (from Board down) across every facet of their business management to achieve optimal governance, risk and control environments that support the organisations’ strategic and operational priorities.

The opportunity :

This role will see you helping to identify and manage the risks of our clients by advising them on the implementation of controls and the identification of potential areas of risk vulnerability.

In addition to bringing your own experience and insight, you will have the opportunity to broaden your expertise by working closely with Partners and Directors and engaging with clients across every business sector.

Day to day you will :

Lead project delivery and engagement teams, advising clients on the impact of evolving regulation on their business models, clients, propositions, and markets and supporting them on their journey through that change.

Manage the overall scoping, strategy, execution and delivery of a variety of risk consulting projects.

Use data to analyse trends and patterns and identify risks in processes.

Build strong client relationships and assist with business development including taking new propositions to the market and pitching for new work.

Provide technical knowledge, direction, coaching and training to colleagues through day-to-day management of teams on engagements.

Work closely with the Christchurch Leadership team.

What you'll bring to our team :

Previous experience in internal audit or risk management across any industry, with detailed knowledge of the practical application of risk management frameworks.

Previous consulting exposure would be beneficial.

Experience managing, coaching and developing teams.

Commercial awareness and the ability to identify and seize opportunities to enhance revenue.

Strong communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.

The ability to analyse information quickly and efficiently, using innovative and creative solutions to solve problems.

The ability to develop outstanding reports and client deliverables.

Highly organised with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities along with strong planning and project management skills.

Positive and flexible attitude to embrace growth opportunities and gain experience.
