    Ko tā mātou mahi - Our Role

    The Advisor Development Strategy provides high quality, professional development site identification and feasibility expertise to identity redevelopment opportunities within the existing portfolio and prioritise projects for investigation.

    You will contribute to the development of delivery plans across Place-based Central regions to ensure the strategic framework for asset development, acquisition, divestment, and leasing is clearly set out in manageable project areas right across the portfolio.

    You will work across internal teams ranging from Urban Partnerships, Complex Projects and Market Delivery, and work with external partners such as Local Councils planning teams.

    You'll be responsible for leading and driving project briefs on utilising existing Kāinga Ora land, and engaging with various stakeholders and partners to unlock opportunities across the region to ensure we achieve housing targets.

    Core deliverable of this role is to contribute to the development of neighbourhood masterplans in Large-Scale Developments locations and provides financial modelling of public housing programme into business case.

    You will play a key role in completing reviews of land acquisition enquiries to confirm viability and adhoc feasibility assessments as required.

    You will also play a contributory role in the development of Kāinga Ora's Regional Investment Plans.

    Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu - What you will bring

  • Experience in implementation of strategies, project management, development management or a similar field
  • A wealth of property development experience, including the associated legislation and regulations, coupled with the ability to prepare and present development feasibility and scenario modelling
  • An in-depth understanding of the redevelopment process and the town-planning, urban design, and architecture principles which inform buildability is advantageous
  • Experience in managing relationships and working in collaboration and partnership with key internal, external and industry stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse opportunities and problems from a broad perspective and understand the potential impact of actions taken
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, collect, organise and analyse data to provide information and enable decision-making
  • The ability to clearly and concisely convey information and ideas in both oral and written communication with demonstrated success in business writing.
