Established in 1982, Mister Doors is a family owned and operated South Australian business. We specialise in the manufacture of high quality metal door frames, timber & specialty doors for the commercial building industry and the high security sector.
An opportunity has arisen for a Project Estimator to join our team and help contribute to the future growth of the business.
Reporting and working closely with the General Manager you will be responsible for :
Preparation of construction tender bids
Door and Frame quantity take offs
Scoping of orders in accordance with specifications and company requirements
Complete reporting of variations that may arise during construction builds
Maintain organised files and appropriate documentation of completed work
Establishing cost estimates, prelims and assessing project risks in consultation with the General Manager
reviewing and understanding contract terms and conditions
involvement with post tender negotiations and reviewing tender performances
To be successful, you will have :
Experience in estimating within the construction industry & strong understanding of construction processes
Experience in reading plans and door schedules
Formal qualifications in estimating / building & construction or relevant trade background
The ability to prioritise, communicate professionally and meet deadlines
The passion to take ownership of the role and a proactive approach to all tasks undertaken with the ability to work within tight time frames.
Experience with estimating programs such as Bid Contender and management software Aconex
Min 4 year experience in similar role
