We’ve done great things already, join us and help us do even more.About the roleIn conjunction with the Group HSE manager and wider HSE team, co-design with the business to develop and implement effective and efficient Health, Safety and Environmental practices that ensure Vector complies with current health and safety legislation, approved codes of practice and guidance in relation to service provision in all jurisdictions.
Provide accurate, timely and highly professional HSE advice, tools and guidance in order to continuously improve organisational HSE performance, including the performance of contractors and providers engaged by the business.
Provide guidance on internal audits of these contractors by the business units.In addition, the Senior HSE Partner will proactively partner with our business unit leadership teams and managers as a change agent to ensure that HSE culture and performance expectations are achieved, barriers to individual, team and organisational safety performance are actively managed and new and fresh thinking to safety is embraced by all.
Input into business projects and functions and work collaboratively across the organisation to establish, maintain and ensure safe systems of work are embedded and a safe environment for operational resources, including contractors and the public is assured.
Professional practice requirements : Professional qualification in health, safety and or environmental.5 - 10 years’ experience in health and safety leadership.
Working within a high risk regulated business ideally within the energy or utilities sectors.Professional membership to associated HSE bodies to graduate level or aboveAuditing qualifications and / or lead auditor experienceQualitative and quantitative risk assessmentIncident investigation experience involving regulatorsExcellent working knowledge of industry Codes of Practice (for example Electricity Industry CoP) and of New Zealand’s Health, Safety, and Environmental regulatory framework, including HSNOWhat we can offer youWe take pride in our vision and values, working together to create a new energy future.
