About the role

We are seeking a Senior Drupal Developer to be part of our web development team that supports Police's public websites and intranet.

A priority for NZ Police is to deliver the services that New Zealanders expect and deserve. Our websites are critical in providing information and online services to the public and our intranet provides vital information for our officers to assist them in providing service to the public.

Key aspects of the role are :

  • Design, development, and implementation of web solutions.
  • Development and integration of back-end functionality.
  • Liaison with third party web server suppliers.
  • Managing all technical aspects of the websites.
  • Database administration and design.
  • Ensuring high-performance, availability and security.

    This is a dynamic position and the successful applicant will need to be able to demonstrate the following :

  • Extensive experience building responsive websites using Drupal CMS, HTML / HTML5, CSS / CSS3, and JavaScript / jQuery.
  • Strong PHP development experience.
  • Deep familiarity with creating custom Drupal modules and using powerful modules such as Views, Services, Panels and the Drush CMI
  • Good experience with NGINX and Linux server administration
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of software version control
