PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
We are looking for highly motivated and customer-focused team members to strengthen the SAP RISE Cloud Architecture & Advisory team.
The candidate will act as a primary point of contact for the customer on technical topics and will work closely with internal teams during the sales cycle.
They will perform as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for the customer on SAP’s RISE with SAP Cloud offering, specifically on the private edition variants of the offering.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
This is a customer facing role where you will support the sales teams during the entire sales cycle of a Cloud deal. Following are the key tasks that this role will perform :
Present in detail the managed cloud service offerings and value proposition to the customers (usually to CIO’s, IT managers, data center managers and SAP Technology staff)
Support and organize technical responses to RFP / RFI’s.
Conduct detailed technical workshops with customers (usually 1 to 2 days) to define the to-be architecture and plan the migration roadmap together with Professional Services.
Work closely with the SAP solution architects & customers to map the planned solution architecture into the SAP Rise cloud reference architecture.
Blueprint customer requirements around HA / DR, Business Continuity, Security & Compliance, networks etc.
Work with BID teams to generate pricing and provide ongoing deal support to sales teams.
Own the technical discussions with the customer in the SAP’s RISE with SAP Cloud, private cloud variants of the offering and act as orchestrator to engage experts from other parts of the SAP organization to facilitate discussions with the customer.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Very high proficiency in customer communications and presentations is required.
Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science, Business Administration required from an accredited university.
Good understanding of SAP technologies (releases, platform interdependencies etc.)
Good understanding of the entire platform stacks (storage, virtualization, hardware, networks etc.)
Ability and willingness to undertake customer related travel on short notice.
English native speaker, any other language an asset.
8+ years of hands-on customer facing SAP Technology Consulting and / or Pre-Sales experience (e.g. Basis Admin, DB Admin, Migrations, Upgrades, Business Continuity etc.)
Experience in deploying SAP solutions in one or more of the public cloud providers (Azure, AWS or Google Cloud Platform)
Experience with working with hosting providers, data centers would be helpful but not mandatory.
HANA / Suite on HANA skills would be very helpful but not mandatory.
Experience working for an enterprise software and / or services vendor necessary
Experience in SAP solution architecture would be very helpful but not mandatory
