Salary band : $109,626 to $148,318 depending on skills and experience

Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Programme Manager to join the Business and Support team in Investment Programmes, on a 12-month fixed term contract, with the potential to extend.

  • The role of the Programme Manager is to work from a business, technical and operational perspective to maximise the value delivered by the funding programmes delivered in MPI's Investment Programmes Directorate and wider Agriculture & Investment Services business unit.
  • Part of your role will be to actively identify areas for improvement, recommending solutions, and implementing resolutions.
  • The role will also include leading a key piece of work around the business units grant management system replacement programme.

    As an experienced Programme Manager, you will bring the following essential skills :

  • Problem solving and critical thinking
  • The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine solutions
  • Experience in application support, systems, processes and standards
  • Experience in the use of modelling tools, methods and standards
  • Experience in developing and implementing processes, systems and solutions within large and complex organisations.
  • Experience in analysing technical requirements and making business decisions with financial impact
  • Ability to work within a self-directed culture and navigate ambiguity
  • Tikanga Māori, embedding this in your day-to-day work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
