Wellington SCL Limited is the provider of pathology and mortuary services to the people of Wellington by way of our long term contract with the 3 Wellington District Health Boards.
Wellington SCL is owned by the healthcare provider APHG.
Based at Wellington Hospital, this position is required for the Mortuary department which is responsible for providing the greater Wellington region with a Forensic, Coronial and Hospital Post Mortem service.
The department also facilitates the Hospital’s Return to Patient Tissue Management Service, collects and provides statistics for the Ministry of Justice and liaises with bereaved families and whanau, Police, the Coroner’s office, Funeral Directors and hospital staff.
The role of the Reception Administrator is to support the Mortuary team to manage the day to day administration functions necessary to maintain the smooth operation and provide exceptional services to internal and external clients.
This will include assisting with body admissions and release, co-ordinating body viewings for family and whanau, liaising with staff from external agencies, assisting with return to patient tissue services and managing the day to day administration tasks in the department.
