Your role

This role sits within the Capital Projects and Asset Development (CPAD) group and is part of the Northern Railway Upgrade (NRU) team.

Your main purpose is to manage and oversee version control, naming conventions and file structures for the programme of works.

With solid experience in quality management systems and processes, you will take ownership of the entire function. The successful applicant will have a demonstrated history of successful performance in drafting documents, reviewing contracts and managing technical documents in a large and complex infrastructure environment.

As well as document control you will also provide administrative support to the Programme Director and the broader NRU team, preparing ad-hoc reports on projects as well as establishing and managing an effective SharePoint and NRU TEAMS site.

Your skills

To succeed in this role, you will have the ability to work independently on multiple tasks, prioritising what's important and maintaining a fast pace without compromising quality.

You'll be able to work to deadlines and juggle conflicting priorities with ease. You will also bring :

  • Proven experience in document control, and developing documentation and quality processes
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • High level competency with SharePoint and TEAMS
  • Knowledge of Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS)
  • Exceptional communication skills - both verbal and written
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
