The Role

Responsible for the accuracy of inventory within the NZ Distribution Centres (DC) and for ensuring timely processing in the system of all information relating to DC stock (including stock movements and deliveries).

To support the supervision of DC operation for the purpose of ensuring the distribution of goods to all the Client’s restaurants serviced by the Distribution Centre (DC) in a timely and cost-effective manner.

The Tasks

This role could see you working across :

  • Manage the Inventory Team to drive effective inventory operations across both centres.
  • Ensure the physical stock on hand in the DC always aligns with JD Edwards and WMS
  • Manage Inventory processes including product rotation, damage stock recoup, stock disposal, product disposition, promo products management
  • Manage the system to ensure traceability is always maintained across all products.
  • Escalate immediately any major stock variances to the Central Planning team, agreeing an action plan to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Act as a key point of contact for resolving inventory related queries / inaccuracies between the DC and the Supply Chain Planning team.
  • Ensure data across all systems is accurate and work with the operations team in setting up new products.
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports as requested from other departments and partners.
  • Develop a culture of continuous improvement within the inventory and operations departments.
  • Ensure pallet management reports and checks are conducted each month.
  • The Successful Candidate

  • Demonstrated inventory experience in a DC operational environment
  • Strong experience with Warehouse Management systems (Manhattan preferred)
  • Strong experience with ERP systems (JD Edwards preferred)
  • Previous people management experience across multisite operations
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Intermediate user proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Ability to travel
