Job Description

Main Purpose of the Job

Ensure high standards of organisation and presentation of all outdoor, public and service area. Provide assistance to Housekeeping and Maintenance Departments as required.

Key Duties

  • Assist Housekeeping with all hotel linen, chemicals, laundry, deliveries and lifting work.
  • Ensure the security of keys and public / back of house areas at all times by adherence to security procedures. Report any suspicious persons or items to Supervisor.
  • Ensure high standards of property presentation, hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Ensure economic use of chemicals, fuel and linen.
  • Ensure all equipment is cleaned correctly, that store rooms and trolleys are kept neat and in good working order.
  • Ensure all corridors are free of trays, linen trolleys or cages. Assist with the removal of folder beds and cots.
  • Assist with supplies of linen and other materials to room attendant trolleys. Ensure of assistance with moving dirty linen from trolleys to linen shute
  • Assist with regular equipment stocktaking
  • Carry out programmed / regular cleaning duties as allocated.
  • Use and clean equipment with care, reporting any defective equipment.
  • Understand the correct usage and storage of cleaning agents in line with health and safety regulations and manufacturers instructions.
  • Work Experience

    Part Time (Minimum 8 hours)

  • Able to handle moderate-heavy lifting
  • Team Player
  • At least 6 months Domestic or Commercial cleaning experience
  • Will be cleaning public areas, staff areas and conference rooms
