About the Role :

A fantastic opportunity to join The Warehouse Group’s well-established merchandise team as a Buyers Assistant (Assistant Buying General Merchandise chapter member), and part of our Buying General Merchandise team.

This is an administration role that will give you a real, solid foundation to the buying world! Our Buyers Assistants work collaboratively with a cross-functional team, responsible for efficiently supporting the day to day operations administration of the category and ensuring we have the right assortment of products!

A pivotal support role and the first point of contact for relationships with suppliers and management of product samples, you will be responsible for :

  • Efficiently managing product orders - placing, tracking, raising purchase order and barcodes
  • Maintaining and inputting accurate product data and imagery
  • Managing supplier invoices and information
  • Assisting with advertising / promotional plans
  • Reviewing and reporting on sales monitoring
  • Additional administration and systems support
  • Support of customer-based Events (e.g. Christmas, Easter, Mother’s Day etc.), following critical paths, sample management
  • About You :

    With lots of opportunity to learn in real-time and develop your skills, you are a real self-starter who can take ownership of your deliverables and work collaboratively with both internal teams and proactively build relationships to engage with external suppliers.

    Your prioritisation and time management skills are real strengths as you work efficiently to deliver to strict critical paths and deadlines in our exciting fast-paced retail environment! You will have outstanding verbal and written communication skills, have a high attention to detail and robust organisational skills to manage large amounts of data and information.

    We’re looking for someone with :

  • Strong administration experience in retail or FMCG
  • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office including Excel
  • A passion for retail and enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Curiosity, innovative and collaborative approach
  • Impeccable attention to detail
