This is a full-on role where you will be assisting the department in the assigned category, coordinating the product and marketing spectrum to ensure strategies for the category are achieved.

In this role you will :

  • Assist the Business Category Manager within the Electrical Head Office team with product management, marketing, advertising and administrative duties for the assigned category
  • Contribute to the strategic planning and development of products and provide creative input on marketing concept development and execution of campaigns.
  • Coordinate marketing and communications content and materials, designing, copywriting, proof-reading and editing
  • Assist with taking new products to market including pricing strategies, stock management, and assisting with the financial aspects for this
  • Undertake relevant marketing research
  • Produce and analyse reports, tracking trends, identifying opportunities and analysing the effectiveness of marketing campaigns
  • Act as the go to’ person for staff and suppliers in regard to marketing and other issues / queries for the assigned category
  • The skills and experience you’ll need to bring with you include :

  • Strong product and marketing skills, with a creative flair
  • The ability to think innovatively and strategically in a deadline driven environment
  • Confident formulating opinions and presenting arguments to support ideas
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office applications
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Project management skills, including driving completion of tasks with management.
  • Administration experience, in a fast pace, busy role
  • Good sense of humour, full of energy, and works well as a team member.
