The Member and Staff Services team are responsible for providing administrative support services to Members of Parliament and their staff.
The team has overall responsibility for over 400 staff located throughout the country, who are supported by a small team of Relationship Managers reporting directly to the Manager - Member and Staff Services.
Mō te tūnga About the role :
Manager - Member and Staff Services provides day-to-day management, leadership and development to the team, to manage the relationship with, and delivery of services to, Members of Parliament and their staff.
You'll play a key role, alongside the Executive Leadership team and other senior managers, in implementing the Service's overall strategy, direction and execution of services delivered to all Members of Parliament and their staff.
You'll thrive in inspiring staff, particularly through periods of change and will welcome diversity to contribute to an inclusive working environment where differences are celebrated.

The ability to build a cohesive team culture among a large group of geographically spread staff is key in this role. Some understanding of the Parliamentary environment and New Zealand employment law is essential.
A background as a senior people leader or experience within Human Resources would be desirable. You will need to have flexibility to travel on occasions.

The appointing salary range for this role is $139,839 to $177,349 per annum. Appointments will be based on skills and experience (please note, the full salary range extends beyond this to allow for tenure progression).
