Medirest is our healthcare brand providing specialist food, hospitality and support services to residents and patients in hospitals, aged care and senior living facilities throughout New Zealand.
So, that's a little bit about what we do, now to 'what will you be doing with us?'
We are looking for a Permanent Full Time Chef Manager to work at our Senior Living Site in Omokoroa, 20 minutes from Tauranga (Bay of Plenty).
Hours of work are Full Time 09 : 00 - 17 : 30, spread over five days.
Your responsibilities :
Reporting to a Bay of Plenty based Operations Manager, this is a hands-on cooking role with dedicated weekly time for administration duties such as entering payroll, processing invoices, stock take, month end processes, ordering and managing the operations compliance programme.
This role requires a person who is computer literate, operating Compass Group systems - familiar with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
You will need to assist with menu development and innovation, as well as maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen.
You will be familiar with food safety and health and safety standards and able to manage and maintain the company compliance program independently.
You will have 3-5 years' experience working as a Chef in a commercial kitchen, as well you will have management experience and be computer savvy.
You will already hold food safety certificates (Unit Standard 167 and 168).

This site is located close to Omokoroa Town Centre and has easy access to transport routes. If you are driving you can also make use of the free carpark.
