Job Description

We have a vacancy for a skilled professional Operations Manager to lead our Civil Department based in Nelson. As the Civil Operations Manager, you will have full responsibility for financial and operational management for this part of the business.

Your responsibilities will include business growth, managing and developing staff, customer relationship management, financial reporting, planning and implementation.

Other key responsibilities include : Lead, manage and enhance safe systems, processes and culture in relation to Health & SafetyEnsure that projects are delivered on time and within the scope of the projectLead and oversee tendering, negotiations, pricing and variationsGrow and develop Civil department market share for Nelson / Tasman RegionLead, manage and develop a high performing teamThe Candidate : You will be a natural leader, with the ability to motivate your team.

Critical to your success will be your ability to build and maintain good customer relationships.The ideal candidate will also have the following : At least 10 years Engineering / Civil Contracting experienceProven experience in a senior leadership positionExcellent project / contract management skillsAn understanding of job pricing and tenderingKey stakeholder engagement and client relationship management abilitiesAdvanced computer literacy, competent across all Microsoft SuitesFulton Hogan Philosophy We build and maintain critical infrastructure that connects and enhances communities across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific.
