Our EY Cyber team works with leading organisations in the public and private sector to translate uncertainty into confidence.
You will help clients with varying levels of cyber maturity through their entire journey, from assessing and advising, to designing and building transformation programmes and specific security solutions, to implementing and also managing security solutions, often alongside selected market leading vendors.
Your opportunity is to :
Lead the delivery and maintenance of cyber security engineering services, for large or more complex projects, using advanced technical capabilities.
Take accountability for the development, delivery and maintenance of cyber security solutions, tools and processes, driving compliance with, and contributing to, the development of relevant standards
Work with other departments across the business to fully understand business and user requirements and ensure cyber designs meet the requirements from a security, business and technical perspective
Your key responsibilities
You’ll already be experienced and have the knowledge and capability to help our clients in increasingly important areas of cloud security, industrial control system security and IoT.

Lead the development and implementation of scalable, secure and robust security infrastructure systems, helping the organisation understand advanced cyber threats, and helping to create strategies to protect that infrastructure
Develop strong working relationships with peers across Cyber Architecture and Test teams, collaborating to develop and engineer leading solutions
May provide a leadership role for the work group, ensuring the appropriate expectations, principles, structures, tools and responsibilities are in place to deliver secure solutions
Drive adherence to the relevant cyber security processes, procedures, standards, technical design whilst supporting the definition, maintenance and implementation of cyber and technology standards
Provide advanced technical expertise to develop strategies on how to respond to and recover from a security breach, and develops and implements open source and third party tools to assist in detection, prevention and analysis of security threats
Lead incident response, including steps to minimise the impact and then conducting a technical and forensic investigation into how the breach happened and the extent of the damage
Skills and attributes for success
A Big 4 background or comparable consulting experience is highly advantageous although we will consider candidates working in cyber security roles who have prior consulting experience.
A broad background across security is expected with some specific experience in a number of the following areas :
Security transformation programmes and design / management of security operations solutions implementations and remediation programmes to address risks including anti virus, patching, secure build, vulnerability scanning & remediation, logging and monitoring, segregation, threat management, user behaviour
Design and implementation of security policies, procedures, standards and controls in line with regulation and / or current standards, NZISM, NCSC, ISO27001, NIST, SANS
Designing and delivering identity & access management programmes, including privileged access management
Breach and incident management, design and implementation of breach and major incident management practices
Data protection & privacy, including data loss prevention, data and information classification and handling, including GDPR
Resilience, design and implementation of programmes to improve IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity
Technical competency in designing, developing, and debugging security solutions, for example : Anti-virus software, intrusion detection, firewalls and content filtering Risk assessment tools, technologies and methods Secure networks, systems and application architectures OT / IoT Security solutions (e.
g. Industrial IDS, Industrial Firewall etc.) AWS and cloud Platform as a Service (PaaS) security
Strong stakeholder management experience
Project management experience in a cyber security environment
